I feel we’ve really got to educate our people. The honest truth is that the greater majority, do not realise the damage they do when they mess around like this. The other problem is that we don’t have faith in our abilities as parents or in our children’s possibilities. Our thought train is something like “My mom aint done nothin’ with her life, I aint doin’ nothin’ with mine, so my baby probably aint gon do nothin’ with hers/his….” We’ve got to break that cycle.
