They wouldn’t make the music if people didn’t buy the music. We talk about the artist and the record companies, but if nobody bought the music then they wouldn’t be around. If everyone on earth refused to buy anything other than gospel, then there would be nothing but gospel. IT’s just based on what sells. Leave it on the shelf long enough and they’ll change their tune.

I am 24 but I remember when music used to inspire and not entirely be focused on money making. I also blame the artists for feeding into the bull. And what’s crazy is how fast the music changed. My sister is 19 and she can’t tell me who a tribe called quest is. I played Pharcyde and she was like who is that? Ish is crazy.
