The picture itself is wonderful. What I don’t agree with is all the “OOH’s” and “AAH’s” because a man is being a father. Most of us are mothers every second, minute and hour of the day. I don’t see anyone patting us on our backs. Being a father to you children should be the norm, not the exception. I guess thats why so many men are still bragging to their friends about the pair of shoes they bought their child 2 years ago.

This is a beautiful picture. And I hear this debate all the time. Some people don’t feel men should be applauded for taking care of their kids because it’s what their supposed to do. That’s true, but in today’s society it’s so uncommon for men (especially black men) to do their job as a father. The mother gives birth to the child and has no choice but to raise it on her own, while the guy disappears. That’s how it usually goes. So to an extent, I agree with applauding those men that man up and take care of their responsibilities. Hell, I applaud a lot of females too for being mothers and actually taking care of their kids. Cause where I come from, many females constantly pop out babies and don’t ever be with any of them.
