Did anyone call CPS yet? This is ridicoulous. I am so tired of some of the black folks talking about it’s rap music making these babies pick up guns when in actuality they can go in your closet and get yours. And not only that, you take a picture to immortilize the moment as if to give approval.

The real problem is that there are no books on the shelf. It’s not so bad that hopefully he has a play gun in his hand because when I grew up I always had a play gun and I didn’t turn out bad but at the same time, I had a steady diet of books to read. Through good parenting and good schooling I was always able to seperate fact from fiction. The moral to this story we cannot afford to continually dumb our children down with the notion of thug life and letting videos and video games be the source of information and serve as the surrogate baby sitter and school teacher.

To Goldy’s, Squishy, and Breezy, I stand corrected. I guess I saw what I would have liked to have seen. Growing up, we had a built in bookshelf that was actually filled with an atlas, books, encyclopedias, informational animal and history cards. I see now, masses of tapes and dvd’s at the bottom, kinda explain the pic more.

This kid went to the school that I work at. He’s one troubled kid. He was kicked out because he was violent toward the children and staff. Its a damn shame. Explains a lot. Now I know why he was the way he was.
